This course is crafted to develop professional skills essential for the information technology sector. It prepares students to become skilled professionals in computer repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance, along with a foundational understanding of computer workshop practices, operating systems, application software, electrical basics, and networking.

GENERAL COURSE CONTENT FOR PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA: Module A (3 months) courses include: Courses cover computer workshop practice, operating systems, application software, networking fundamentals, electrical basics, communication skills, introduction to entrepreneurship etc.

Module B (3 months) courses include: Practical industrial attachment, report preparation, and defense.

Employment opportunities: Graduates have high employment prospects in telecommunications, commerce, real estate, aviation, computer and electronics industries, and various public sector roles within and outside Nigeria.

Final Award: At the end of the six (6) months programme, after the trainee must have fulfilled all requirement, the trainee will be awarded: - GIPI Professional Diploma in Computer Hardware Technology,

Duration: Six (6) Months for Professional Diploma

Entry Requirements: Applicants need a minimum of four credits, including Mathematics and a pass in English at the SSCE level or equivalent (NTC/ITC/C&G/NABTEB) and should be in good physical condition with good eyesight.

Nature of Assessment: Evaluation includes practical exams, written tests/assignments, and assessment of professional attitude.
